Peer Review Policy

Editorial screening before review

Each submission may undergo initial checks for scope, completeness, originality concerns, basic ethics compliance, authorship clarity, and file readability before review assignment.

Double-blind review process

IROAP supports double-blind review whenever applicable. Reviewers are selected for subject relevance and independence, and identifying details should be minimized in review files when required.

Reviewer responsibilities

Reviewers must keep manuscripts confidential, avoid using unpublished ideas for personal benefit, disclose conflicts promptly, and provide constructive, evidence-based recommendations.

Decision criteria

• Originality and scholarly contribution.
• Sound methodology and ethical compliance.
• Clear IMRAD organization and accurate references.
• Relevance to IROAP scope and readership.
• Quality of analysis, discussion, conclusion, and reporting.

Decision outcomes

Submissions may be declined at screening, sent for revision, accepted, or rejected. Acceptance is based on editorial and review judgment, not on payment, relationship, or prior assistance.

Post-acceptance release

Accepted papers are prepared for online publication in the IROAP repository and for exposure to Zenodo, OpenAIRE, Google Scholar, and the IROAP publication repository, subject to each platform's processing and indexing rules.
